This is just for my own use really - to remember my little shopping list of the top CD's I would ideally love to pick up on the way and own someday... For most of the artists I've mentioned, I'd like to own some of their other albums too, but for the most part I just picked out my best best. Basically just the albums that have really meant something to me at some point in my life, whether recently or years back (hence the Spice Girls and My Chemical Romance :) This is also just including albums & EPs - still a lot of singles with B-sides I'd love to get my hands on, but listing those as well would get a bit silly. Wintersleep: Yep, I saw them opening for Portugal. The Man. I had never heard of them before and ended up liking them way more than I do Portugal.

Alien Ant Farm: My middle school years when I really started branching out and investigating more music.

WilcoFall of '07, right around when Sky Blue Sky came out.

The Pink Spiders: Soft Smoke, I think.

Bon Jovi: There's several. I know them better than any other band, they were my favorite for a long, long time. For the sake of the survey I'll say Who Says You Can't Go Home?, the countrified version. That was directly responsible for Lost Highway, which is by fair their worst album.

Crime in Stereo: They're loud, which I like from time to time, and have a lot of meaning to them.

Pavement: In my car. I'd heard a lot about them but never actually heard them, until I was at the record store one day and saw that they had just gotten Slanted & Enchanted in the used section and decided to check it out.

I'm a sucker for data (probably why I love Last.fm) so I thought it'd be appropriate to take a look at my listening habit over the past year. Thanks to the rolling charts, this is pretty easy to do.

Only a couple points of interest. First of all, I'm surprised Death Cab was so high. I really don't feel like I listened to them all that much. I think part of it is because I have so many songs of theirs on my computer so they show up in shuffled playlists a lot. I think it's kind of cool that 65daysofstatic are so high considering how long many of their songs are. I actually listen to a lot of post-rock but because the songs are so long they aren't really accurately reflected in my charts. Maybe someday Last.fm will figure out a way to fix that.
