Marc Broussard (born January 14, 1982) is an American singer/songwriter. His style is best described as “Bayou Soul”, a mix of Funk , Blues , R&B , Rock and Pop, matched with distinct Southern roots.
Broussard is very involved philanthropic work. He founded the “Momentary Setback Fund” to benefit victims of hurricane Katrina and hurricane Rita. All proceeds from his 2005 release, “Bootleg to Benefit the Victims of Hurricane Katrina” went to help rebuild Broussard’s home state. He is also involved in the United Way and Habitat for Humanity. In 2007 Broussard was involved in an Entertain the Troops tour in the Middle East.

wow. this dude can saaaaaaaaaaaang. i remember catching marc during nba all-star weekend festivities a year or so ago and immediately dug into his short but exceptional catalog of music. this guy is old soul; anthony hamilton-like gritty r&b from the heart. i hear al green, stevie, ray charles & a lot of other soul greats in his music. if only people would hear him marc broussard would be the huge star he deserves to be.
