Massively underrated album. One of their best, though perhaps not quite on the level of THB/EMG/GT/JFPL. Miles better than all the other ones though, I'd say. It's a shame it was released at a time when people who getting sick of the Manics.

It's more incredibly unpopular, rather than "underrated"; however, I must say that I've always been quite a fan of it: 1985, Cardiff Afterlife, To Repel Ghosts and Empty Souls are all superb.

Lifeblood is similar to Know Your Enemy in that it oozes a sombre, rueful and at times somnolent sort of atmosphere. Both albums also contain a set of songs that are primarily similar to one another. The difference is that Lifeblood has direction musically and no real question marks, i.e. Miss Europa Disco Dancer. Their second best '00s effort after JFPL in my opinion.

The most underrated album they have made. That doesn't make it the best though.

I listened yesterday for the first time and I found this one KIND OF boring. They are not so inspired.

This is my favourite by them, I can't understand why people would think it's their worst. It hang so well together as a whole, which many of their albums don't. It is a little different, but to me that's what's so great about it. this album deserves more love :)

Love it. Totally underrated, it's a grower. When i first got it after hearing 'The Holy Bible' , 'Generation Terrorists' etc. I wasn't expecting this. Soothing introspection.
