    It is amazing how people perceive certain song arrangements, especially if they aren't aware from where they are originally derived from. Very '70's, and beautifully done.

    Yeah, it does sound like something you'd hear from some children's show. Especially the first line in the chorus ("Hey, come on let's play - a song"). But lyrically, it's kind of depressing. At least I think so. Look up: Escapism.

    shaq91, yes it does and there's a good reason for it. It was written in the style of pop music that was popular in the late 60's and early 70's. An example of this style is Penny Lane by the Beatles. The mother of all children's shows, "Sesame Street" first aired in the late '60's, and the music on it was also inspired by the popular music of the time. "Sesame Street" later went on to become the prototype for all kid's TV shows, and so this particular style of music became synonomous with kids' TV shows.
