Dez 7 2013, 8h25 por stationinmyroom300 all-time greatest rock bands.
This list has been created for more than five years. For more than ten years I have listened a lot of very good and very bad rock music. I have some general knowledge about music theory and music history. Every band is rated with numeral mark (max 100). Mark is just my subjective opinion. Band's technical ability, overall quality of their discography, originality, innovativity and influence were considered. Also negative points were added for plagiarism.
It's just my opinion, so don't take it too seriously.
The list will be changed and updated with time.
Every comment is welcome and every suggestion will be considered.

Rush - Different stages 3 - Hammersmith Odeon London 1978
Lynyrd Skynyrd - One More From The Road
Thunder - 20 Years and Out, The Farewell, Hammersmith Apollo 2009
Faith No More - Live at the Brixton Academy 1990
Counting Crows - August & Everything After - Live At Town Hall
Additional - Anyone who knows me would guess I'd start with Rush and I love that recording from '78. I had to play Skynyrd in honour of my Dad who could be here because he doesn't own a PC. Thunder I haven't heard in years so that was a trip down memory lane for me. I agree with FIL1994 about FNM Live Brixton Academy. Patton was fooling around for most of it - don't think I'll be going back to that one. Also the vocal performance on Counting Crows was a bit off in parts which is a shame as the album sounds great.

2012 is the year I gave into streaming. For a number of reasons it was easier to put KRFC-FM or MPR's Radio Heartland on stream than putz with a scrobble client, and when I did it was mostly on Random in the background. Two noticeable exceptions from two performing songwriters--Gretchen Peters' excellent new release Hello Cruel World, and Marybeth D'Amico's 2011 release The Light Inside that was new to me in 2012.
After 8 years in the wilderness, I left a small town in a large state for a larger city in the smallest state. The search for a new setting set back my search for new music. Will 2013 restore the old JC's search for the best and brightest in Americana? Or will I go softly into that good night of streaming other people's picks? The new iOS Scrobbler is a good start for my iPad/iPhone, tho Spotify is claiming more ear-time while I'm at home... However, my large city in a small state lies just across the line from…
