Love Battery is an American psychedelic rock/grunge band from Seattle, Washington.
For the most part Love Battery was an unusual group in the early 90’s Seattle music scene. Blending intense swirling psychedelic guitar work, pulsating rhythms, driving beats and heartfelt vocals derived from ’60s garage/psych, ’70s punk rock, ’80s post punk and ’90s grunge, their music was significantly more complex than most of the music associated with that era.
Although they never achieved the commercial success of many of their contemporaries, they nonetheless retained a fervent cult following that continues to this day.

One of those bands that are always mentioned sparingly in any Seattle/Grunge/Sub Pop articles but how many people had actually heard them? - its criminal, i first heard of them 17-18 years ago but only just heard the music, its easily as good as the bands who hit the big time <3

The Seattle-corporate-driven feeding frenzy killed this band, but their indy stuff on Sub Pop, such as Between the Eyes and especially Dayglo, are absolutely some of the best records to come out of that scene. Dayglo rarely comes off of my turntable.
