  • April Mix

    Abr 25 2007, 16h01 por kellykristen

    Oh Timbaland
Release - Timbaland feat. Justin Timberlake
On The Hotline (Missy Elliot Remix) Pretty Ricky feat. Missy Elliot & Jim Jones
    Real Girl
Say It Right (Shyboy Remix) - Nelly Furtdao feat. Madonna
Give It To Me - Timbaland feat. Nelly Furtado & Justin Timberlake
    Edge of Seventeen
All Good Things (Come to an End) - Nelly Furtado feat. Chris Martin

This is my April Mix. I know the Lohan track is such an odd addition but I'm hooked on it. It is perhaps the least needed or wanted cover of a song ever, and Lindsay's voice is completely void of emotion as she sings it, but sweet barking cheese, I can't stop listening. I think May's Mix will be all about covers that didn't need to be made, inspired by La Lohan's cover of Edge of Seventeen.
  • 2006 - An Album Retrospect

    Jan 1 2007, 21h16 por wwfanz

I did this last year, so I thought I'd make it an annual thing. All of my purchases throughout the year, with a short little review. In alphabetical order, as I trying to figure out exactly when I bought all of the albums would prove extremely difficult.

    Back to Basics
I still stand by my statement that disc two is the better one off this album, and that The Right Man blows the rest out of the water. Granted, I have only listened to the first disc two (and a half) times. Maybe I should give it another chance?

Wow, I can't believe I only bought this album in 2006. It seems like I've had it for longer. Maybe because of all of the constant plays I gave it. This is definitely one of the few albums I can listen to all the way through, without skipping a single track.

Being a fan of Ms Clarkson since the days of American Idol, I don't know why I never picked this up. Granted, it doesn't have the same greatness that her sophomoric album has, but there are some little gems hidden in here as well. …

I haven't done the weekly commentary over the past few weeks because I'm starting to get back into listening to the CD.

    1. Lindsay Lohan (51 Plays) Same Position
I was somewhat obsessed with her cover of Edge of Seventeen the last two weeks.

    2. Jessica Simpson (41 Plays) +1 Position
A Public Affair was just released. Of course she's on my weekly charts.

    3. Red Hot Chili Peppers (35 Plays) +4 Positions
When am I not listening to them?

    4. Rob Zombie (27 Plays) +1 Position
I was as addicted to "Edge of Seventeen" as I was to Foxy Foxy.

    5. Milla Jovovich (21 Plays) +1 Position
I have to admit that Left & Right has been another recent addiction. Not as addicting as "Foxy Foxy" or "Edge of Seventeen" though.

    6. Method Man (19 Plays) +1 Position
Know Your Role is awesome. I don't know why I didn't realize it was this great when I first heard WWF Aggression.

    6. Nelly Furtado (19 Plays) -4 Positions
