So, only going back a year now...2008.

2008 saw Madonna give us a taste of her Hard Candy, and telling us all it's Sticky & Sweet. Her first signle from this album was the song 4 Minutes but this was probably one of the weakest off the album.

Leona Lewis & Britney Spears were still going strong from their success in 2007. Girls Aloud came back with one of the best classic pop tracks of the last few years, with The Promise & Katy Perry told us she kissed girls...and liked it.

What I will remember the most about 2008 is the Eurovision Song Contest of this year, held in Belgrade. As you probably know, I am a big fan anyway, but this year seemed to have some of the best songs around, and was dominating my most listened patterns around the time. Ani Lorak & Charlotte Perrelli were my two big favourites of this year.

I will also remember 2008 for the debuts of the new girl band, The Saturdays, Duffy & Alexandra Burke, who was crowned the 5th winner of the X Factor series later in 2008. Up until then, I hadn't really been a massive fan of the show, but 2008's series has really made me a big fan.
