This stands representative for all the horrible kawaii music AMVs I had to endure in my life so far.

4. Your all time favorite band?
Earth
They're the only band where I can say that they never put out anything that was bad, they practically invented a new very unique style for themselves and their music is the only thing that I can listen to while it's so hot outside that the air starts flickering.

5. Your newly discovered band is?
I guess the band that surprised me the most over the last week was Gehenna. I was listening to First Spell and somehow it impressed me. I doubt that I'll actually make a habit of listening to them more, but from all of the albums I've went through the last few days this is probably the one that stands out the most for me.

6. Best female voice?
Hands down Joan Baez. There will never and has never been a woman with a voice like hers in all of history. Opera singers might have the better education but they don't have the better soul.

7. Best male voice?
Pete Seeger. If you sound like an old man that's just sitting on his front porch telling old sad stories of your life making everyone cry from nostalgia there's nobody that could be better.

8. Music type you find yourself listening to most?
Objectively speaking? Metal. My charts show that pretty well, but I gotta say that my heart is connected to almost every type of music.

9. What do you listen to to hype you up?

10. What do you listen to to calm down?
Nothing. That's one of the reasons why I can't fall asleep while listening to music. It always gets me in a constant state of alertness, I'm usually too concentrated to calm down. It is true that I find the musical works of Gustav Holst or Frédéric Chopin to be very relaxing but not to that kind of an extent. Even when I want to read while listening to music I have to turn the volume way down so I don't get distracted too much.

11. Last concert you went to?
Some underground elitist jazz club in berlin. Totally too cool 4 u. ;>

12. Band you find yourself listening to the most right now?
Darkthrone. Makes no sense according to my charts? Exactly, but the fact that I actually went back to listen to them again in my playlist, especially since it's black metal means a lot to me. It's not hard to always come back to catchy little songs, but for those it's usually a time span of half a year where I always come back to the same artists. But very recently speaking, I'd go with Darkthrone.

13. Most hated band?
E Nomine. Seriously, get a new schtick.

Antony and the Johnsons. It's the perfect example of beautiful music being completely ignored because people have no idea what to make of it. Also homophobes etc.

You can very rarely distinguish between songs, but that's what makes it so interesting. At least when it's an olschool style and it's being played technically impressive there's nothing to complain about. As for melodeath though, 99% of that is shit.

Yes. However I find it pretentious and ridiculous when bands such as Sigur Rós invent their own languages to look more hip. The zeuhl genre is the exception to that rule. I also think it's unnecessary for metal bands to sound more brutal by recording songs in any kind of scandinavian language. Doesn't sound brutal at all, english sounds just as harsh IMO.

35. What famous musician do you find sexy?
Fred Durst & Yulia Volkova.

36. Worst concert moment?
When Mastodon was opening for Tool and they didn't get any recognition whatsoever. I'm not a big fan of either now, but Mastodon is superior IMO.

Standing right next to my uncle, my aunt and their friends during a Wir sind Helden performance. I was being quiet the whole evening until they started playing Darf ich das behalten. One of my uncle & aunt's friends suddenly looks at me totally baffled since I know all the lyrics by heart and am singing along throughout the whole song. :>

This might be the first time I hear about the black metal band Blodsrit, but sure in such a remarkable way! It turns out that their guitarist Emil Koverot, aka Yxmarder was just recently teaching at a school for mentally retarded students until his principal found out he was performing black metal on his spare time and kicked him on the grounds that he was spreading messages of "violence, drugs and sex" and that it "might affect the children", not that he was incompetent or a bad teacher.

This in turn stirred a huge debate in Sweden whether a principal can kick any of his inferiors on any ground he wants. The problem now for Emil is that while him being fired does scrutinize his freedom of speech as well as the meaning of a free democracy, he was not fully employed at this school but was only working as "stand in". In Sweden we have no real protection laws what the employers can do with their employees if they are not fully employed, and while certainly one can argue what the head principal did was completely wrong, certainly adding up the fact that he [the principal] was performing jazz music on his spare time where many of the songs often contained lyrics related to sex, drugs and violence as well, were excused with that "students don't listen to a mossy jazz band".

I would like to ask him how many of the students who had previously heard of black metal then comparing it to a song such as Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven where analyzers have argued it is clear it is about drugs? Maybe the results might surprise him.

Anyway, if it was me, I would totally love to have Emil as a teacher, mentally retarded or not!
