Więc tak 8 grudnia przypada rocznica śmierci gitarzysty Pantery
W związku z tym klub park zaprasza na imprezę na której będzie można pobawić się przy muzyce Pantery i nie tylko, poznać innych fanów napić się w dobrej atmosferze.

Grupa święciła triumfy w latach 90. za sprawą takich albumów jak „Cowboys From Hell”, „Vulgar Display of Power”, czy „Far Beyond Driven”. To jeden z najważniejszych zespołów sceny metalowej, byli i są inspiracją dla wielu grup młodego pokolenia, m.in. DevilDriver, Mastodon i Lamb of God. 8. grudnia tego roku mija piąta rocznica tragicznej śmierci gitarzysty Pantery - Darella „Dimebaga” Abbotta, zastrzelonego na scenie przez psychopatycznego „fana” w trakcie koncertu Damageplan.

Hardzone to kultowa impreza dla wszystkich miłośników ciężkiego rocka, alternatywnego metalu i klasyki mocnego grania. To tutaj po raz pierwszy można było poznać takie zespoły jak Soulfly, Disturbed, czy Marilyn Manson. Impreza odbywa się w każdy czwartek. Za muzykę odpowiedzialny jest Sebastian Grabowski (Radio Kampus). Podczas imprezy z Panterą nie zabraknie takich wykonawców jak Down, Hellyeah, Metallica, Chimaira, Fear Factory, Sepultura, Black Label Society, Mastodon, DevilDriver, Five Finger Death Punch, Unearth i Lamb of God.

Five great unknown bands

During my time here on Last.fm, I managed to discover some really good unknown bands. They span a range of genres and syles, but all have ability and originality. Feel free to take the time to check some of them out.

Iceni
Black Metal from the UK

Iceni are one of the few really good Black Metal bands operating in the UK underground at the moment. They have a raw yet epic sound, with flashes of Bathory and Mayhem. The guitars do not just follow the standard tremolo picking approach, but use the full arsenal of black metal and death metal techniques, much like Darkthrone did on their earlier stuff.
The standout quality of this band is the lyrics. They seem to really take care to create thoughtful, inspired and above all, excellent lyrics on a regular basis, frequently diverging from their core material of imagery related to the early English tribes from which they take their name.
Standout track is Journey the Pathways Unknown but they have an entire 6-track demo available for listening on Last.fm.

For fans of Bathory, Darkthrone, Mayhem and Forefather.

Here There Be Monsters
Hardcore metal from the UK

The main thing that strikes me about HTBM is the sense of groove that is present in each and every song, sometimes reminiscent of Pantera or Lamb of God. The riffs are inventive, varied and memorable, as well as pant-splittingly heavy at times.
A number of tracks are available on Last.fm with Parade being a particular highlight (my favourite is actually The Ballad of Dave Mustaine but this in not available on the site).

For fans of Hatebreed, Pantera and anyone so obsessed about Dave Mustaine they must hear everything with his name in it.

Mauler
Black Metal from the Netherlands

These guys have not put any of their music on Last.fm, so you will have to go to their MySpace, but it is certainly worth the trip. The level of musicianship on these tracks disguises just how young these guys are. Some very good, very raw black metal.

For fans of Watain and of Black Metal in general.

Vyrmn
Black Metal from the US

USBM has been derided over the years, but Vyrmn is something else. Brutal black metal with industrial touches and epic noise-scapes, the material posted on Last.fm is excellent stuff. Unwelcoming, abrasive and unpleasant, this takes all the elements that made USBM good and raises them to compete directly on the level of more famous European counterparts.
Standout track is (Machinery Of The ) Bleeding Platinum Vortex.

For fans of Mayhem (Chimera onwards) and Thorns.

Distruction God
Brutal death metal from Russia

This is excellent death metal, brutal, aggressive and technically sublime. Not much more to say until these guys post more tracks, but Your Religion, Your curse is phenomenal.

For fans of brutal death metal in general.
