So this past Saturday night, we headed down to the Lower East Side, and ventured down Ludlow to find the Living Room. The evening was almost cut short because Julie didn't have her id, but they cut us some slack. The first performer we saw was pretty good, though I didn't catch his name. The next guy up, Vic something, was a very proficient musician, but his music did nothing for me. Not long into his set, Ali showed up and we recessed to have some grilled cheese down the block.
After a good sandwich, we headed back to The Living Room, and were wowed by Kristin Diable. I mean, damn, she was awesome. I bought her new CD, signed up for the mailing list, etc. as soon as the set was done. I liked her so well, that I have sought out another of her discs and ordered it.
And then Crescent And Frost took the stage. They were a good band, but they didn't blow me away like Kristin did. I should probably borrow some of their studio work and see if I like that more.
