@FootToFace I don't think of Pink Floyd as being progressive in the way that KC is. KC was pushing the limits of rock into something closer to Jazz and Classical music (more with Red than with this album). There is more to "prog rock" than simply pushing the limits of complex harmonic and rhythmic writing and blending that with displays of virtuosity, Pink Floyd were experts at creating wonderful atmospheric compositions. It's almost like comparing Dvorak and Stravinsky. Dvorak was all about creating wonderful emotional compositions, while Stravinsky was pushing the limits of tonality... Just because Stravinsky may have been more progressive in his way of thinking doesn't mean that Dvorak wasn't a great composer. All that being said...I find myself listening to KC much more than Pink Floyd :P (btw, have you listened to Echos? It's pure greatness and an excellent example of PF at their finest)
