More high praise for West Ryder this week, which comes in the form of Q Magazine's album of the year having been voted number 1 in their Albums of the Year edition. This on the back of winning Best Album in last week's Q Awards, and a Mercury nomination earlier in the year. A big thank you to all of you who have supported the band this year.

Kasabian's unstoppable album West Ryder has won Best Album at the Q Awards today. It has beaten off competition from the likes of Florence and the Machine, U2 and the Artic Monkeys to win one of the most the prestigous awards, which took place in London this evening. …

The third single from West Ryder, Underdog, is out today. With remixes from Sasha and b-side Julie and the Mothman, you can pick it up from iTunes.

Take a look at this video inspired by the band's new single Underdog. Football Hero is a football version of Guitar Hero, replacing the guitar with 5 pressure sensitive keys, and 5 talented young footballers. Watch the video to see how they got on playing Kasabian's track Underdog.
