  • New music

    Out 31 2009, 4h27 por eckenrok

Just got the new Tegan and Sara CD Sainthood. I have been listening to it on repeat for 2 days straight. All of the songs are great. There is a definite progression in their music from album to album. It seems to follow a logical path from acoustic folksy rock to a more produced pop/rock electronic sound. The most appealing part of Tegan and Sara to me is their chemistry and personality. When I first heard of them (through listening and learning about Kaki King) I did not like their sound. It was too poppy. But then I saw them perform live on youtube and fell in love with them as people. I realized that they are true musicians and that their songs may sound like pop songs, but they are very serious and full of meaning. They are a true credit to the indie music scene.

  • 100 tracks everyone should know

    Out 4 2009, 0h09 por DJ_Anubis

In eager anticipation of my 75.000th track, I just had to look back on my time here on last.fm... I never thought I would stay here for almost three years, nor did I ever expect to find such great music and friends (you know who you are).

So I'll be posting my '100 tracks everyone should know'. Some mainstream, some a little harder to find (If you need help or more info, let me know). I don't think I have to tell you this is all just my personal opinion ;)

A lot of these I got to know through Last.fm and the friends here, so thanks everybody.
