Priest on fire on this one. 70s catalogue is excellent.

Not bad, actually pretty unique. They watered down their early sound into a bunch of fun brainless funky pop songs with a bit of an early metal crunch. And Rob's got this Louis Armstrong thing going on. I like this one more than any of their overly slick 80s albums.

Fuck, I love this album so much, every single song, leather, sexiness and rock and roll made music.

like the previous Judas albums this was a real classic with their first leather image and maybe a little bit commercial than speed metal sclassic of Staided Class

"This is their last album that had any kind of ambition on it." Creative ambition? Then I must disagree, that was Stained Class. This was the album where they started with their metal image and the songwriting just degraded to standard heavy metal, in retrospect.

This album would be much better if the tracks were fewer and longer. If some of the middle tracks were cut out and "Before the Dawn" were extended into a fuller song with a real climax, we'd have a great album on our hands.

Not up there with Stained Class as its too formulaic. Still pretty good.

I do like this album but the other 70s albums have more memorable songs.

I want to love this album more than I actually do, but, as others have stated, it's too inconsistent. I don't think they were too certain of what they wanted to do here. It felt more like a collection of b-sides/lost tracks mixed with some stronger songs (such as Evening Star/Hell Bent for Leather/Running Wild/Before the Dawn). The track order is an issue as well. For example, they shouldn't have opened with Delivering the Goods (which itself feels to me more like b-side material). Hell Bent For Leather would've made a much stronger opener for the album. These are all a matter of opinion, of course.

"Their worst is Rocka Rolla" Nah. Nothing from this album comes close to Run of the Mill or Never Satisfied.

This album is much more dynamic and daring than "Killing Machine 2" (you know what I'm talking about) though the sound itself is a little bit more muddied than it's sequel.
