This Is My Normal State is a post-rock/ambient band from Bristol, South West England. Formed in October 2008, the band has just finished recording its debut EP: Angel Falls ++ (October 2009).

Taking influences from bands such as Sigur Rós, Explosions in the Sky, This Will Destroy You, Mono, Mogwai and Joy Wants Eternity to name a few, the band create a sound-scape of interlocking melodies, typified by the use of reverb drenched guitar loops, and fragile, ethereal vocals.

1. How did you get into 29? Broken Social Scene
- It was back in the days when I listened to Pandora internet radio! I think Broken Social Scene was one of the "similar artists" to Mew, yeah right... :D

2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22? Anathallo
- Oh no, a hard one! I think it was just the first track of the album Hoodwink. How boring.

3. What’s your favourite lyric by 33? Kings of Convenience
- Oh noes, I haven't really payed that much attention to their lyrics :D Hate to admit... But anyway, I do like the cuteness in these lyrics (Cayman Islands):
"The wind is in your hair, it's covering my view
I'm holding on to you, on a bike we've hired until tomorrow"

Szkoda, że nigdy o nich nie usłyszycie, part 1.

1. Radio Bagdad - świetna punkowa kapela, interesujące teksty i energetyczna muzyka. Moje pierwsze duże i naprawdę ciekawe odkrycie, skutecznie propagowane wśród znajomych. I mam ich płytę z autografami :)

2. Joy Wants Eternity - instrumentalne granie z polotem i fantazją, kawałek From Embrace To Embrace to prawdziwe dzieło sztuki! Dzięki Monice, że miała to na swojej liście odtwarzania :)

3. Farel Gott Stonerockowe granie z polski, rock, jakiego w naszym kraju jest zdecydowanie za mało. Ostre, ale i melodyjne granie, fajny wokal no i ten koncert na węgorzewie, kiedy Rycerz zamiast 'slayer ...' krzyczał 'farel gott, napierdalać!' :)

Dodam jeszcze, że od nich także dostałem płytę pełną autografów i innych bajerów :)

4. Hatifnats Oryginalne, nowofalowe granie, także z polski. Ciekawe brzmienie i nastrój, bardzo fajny koncert podczas węgorzewa - co prawda bawiłem się tylko ja, jakaś dziewczyna obok i kocyk trochę próbował, ale i tak podobało mi się bardzo. Muzyka może nie na festiwal, ale do klubu - świetna.

5. Kawałek Kulki Tak na odprężenie.. Pozytywna muza, która nie każdemu na pewno się spodoba. Pokręcone to i dziwaczne, ale przez to urocze ;)

I'm back!

Ugh, my charts are so outdated. I've been using the zune media player since I acquired a zune in December. Unfortunately, this has left my profile in a state of complete disrepair.

But, I'm finally scrobbling again since I've updated my winamp! I expect my charts this week to be full of Kashiwa Daisuke, Sigur Ros, Ms. John Soda, Yndi Halda, Kafei's Mask, The Flashbulb, A Lily, Joy Wants Eternity, and beneva vs Clark Nova.

I've been grabbing all kinds of interesting new music lately, so I'm sure those will be joined by a bunch of other stuff.
