Years and years ago (when I was like 11 years old) I went to a Backstreet Boys concert with my father. As we left the concert there were people outside who gave away issues of the Rolling Stone-magazine. Inside there was a CD with Original version of covered songs... that's how I got to know her. "Woodstock" is one of the most amazing and beautiful songs ever. ^__^

I guess I had a different experience with this song then most Six Feet Under fans (which I am one of course). I had already been listening to Joni Mitchell for quite awhile and when I heard it used in the context of the moment when Ruth was allowing herself to be vulnerable I was blown away. I think the first version I heard was the CSNY version as a kid...I liked it then too and painted "We are stardust, we are golden and we've got to get ourselves back to the garden" on my wall.
