PJ Harvey - Let England Shake
    http://images.wikia.com/lyricwiki/images/e/e5/PJ_Harvey_-_Let_England_Shake.jpg
I love me some PB and J Harvey but this review is kind of embarrassing for me. This has gotten more re-reviews than any other album I've ever written about.

At first I hated it. I was let down. It wasn't what I'd come to expect out of Harvey.

I felt guilty for being that selfish and re-reviewed it a few months later. It got a better review but nothing to write home about.

A few months after that, the overall ranking that it earned changed but the review was kept the same.

Here we are, on the fourth review (and the page count has doubled). Close to a year later, I think I get it and I'm pretty impressed. I really think she could have done a better job tying up all the loose ends but she would risk watering down the message if she went down that path…

The Age of Adz verdanken.

    1. How did you get into 31? (UVERworld)
D-tecnoLife was the second opening theme to Bleach. I loved the song and sought out more of their music, which at the time was very little (on a major label and thus available, that is). They've kinda disappointed me since but still have lots of great songs, and come up with new great ones every now and then too.

    2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22? (Czesław Śpiewa)
That would have been either Ucieczka z Wesołego Miasteczka or Maszynka do świerkania, depending on whether I listened to the lead single before getting the album; I forget. Either one would have been enough to completely win me over, though.

    3. What is your favorite lyric by 29? (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Hah, tough one: no matter what, it'd be off of Stadium Arcadium, though. There's "you're talking like a lady but you're walking like a sauerkraut" from Storm In A Teacup, or "I saw you there so unaware / those hummingbirds all in your hair" or "right on the verge…
  • Album review: John Frusciante - The will to death

    Jul 17 2011, 21h39 por joelstinton

John Frusciante career has been nothing but short of prolific. In a time of relative quietness from the ex chili pepper guitarist, its probably good time to reflect, on without doubt, his most underrated album, and yes his masterpiece. Which is a pretty big statement for me to make. especially for those who know how i feel about one of his other release, “Curtains”.

Over the course of ten albums, an abundance of creative energy, soul and spirit as gone into producing a solo career that fans hold, follow and listen with passion. There is something unique about being a Frusciante fan, that for me, doesn’t apply to any band, songwriter, or singer. It hard to describe in words what this is, but there is some undeniable bond that exists between him, his music, and you. Its different from the hysteria, and the love, and the lyrical extacy that exists between Morrissey and his fans. Rather, yes this is going to sound corny, but his music reaches to you on an emotive level, the music is full of life, emotion and growth. …
