In this world not every sound is music, and not all music is pure art. To call the music in this album a pure artform only begins to describe what Coltrane did here. It surpasses beauty and transcends the art with a message and outpouring of his soul. The message is not a message of comprehensible words but rather one that only can be understood and felt by the deepest parts of the soul. The listener must not only listen with open ears and an open mind but also an open heart to truly appreciate what Coltrane did in this music.
