I love how you seem to have the mentality that just because her voice is unusual and that she makes cool indie music that makes you feel unique for liking it actually makes it good. Manufactured doesn't mean bad. And Britney has a great voice but she actually dances and moves around on stage which makes it hard to sing live.

I'd be interested in a live album. The live versions of older songs in the past couple of years or so have been so nice. Both the arrangements, and her voice. Such as 'Bridges and Balloons' on the ACL performance.

I'm 14 and obsessed with Joanna. Been listening to Ys since I was 8 and I've only just re-discovered her. Bought the Milk-Eyed Mender last week. So good. I really wanna get Yarn and Glue and Walnut Whales too but they're not being made anymore. Darn :( My friends think I'm nuts for liking her but I couldn't live with out her intelligent, inspirational music. I'm looking forward so much to her next album that I'm expecting. Hope she makes one soon. :) I can recall vague memories of me singing along to Emily in the car on a hot summer day...
