Not the first time Jimi outdid Dylan (with all due respect, of course...). All Along the Watchtower, someone?

jimi's poetic guitar and dylan's poetic lyricism - stellar combo.

"...How does it feel?... How does it feel?... To be on your own... A complete unknown... Like a rolling stone..." Love this song and Jimmy's rendition is just excellent.

One of the best live Hendrix songs, and an excellent cover.

Only Jimi could've taken a song that is as perfect and untouchable as Like A Rolling Stone and turn it into something so very different yet just as brilliant! I like the Stone's one, too, but somehow they couldn't quite catch the mood of the song in the way Jimi did...

Love Hendrix's version, but I do listen to Dylan's from time to time... I have this live (live in seattle maybe? not sure the real name of the set...) and i think that is the best one I've heard...

I thinks that Jimmy's version is betteri n so many ways than Dylan's version. But that is just musical taste. You can't compare apples and oranges you know. Sometimes, depending on my mood Dylan's version is the one I need. The song itself is a testiment to it's power. Power to the people, right on. - Peace

agree with riverflows. but simply coz he wrote it doesn't automatically make his the better version. anyhow, i like both. the monterey version is much wilder than this one, though, and until now, i knew only that one. but the relaxed vibe on this one is nice, too.
