"Jean-Michel Jarre" (with dash) is his real name. The dash in his name was used up to "Waiting for Cousteau" (1990). The album "Chronologie" (1993) is the first totally dash-free album. Both the album's cover and booklet used the name without the dash. I think most hardcore fans (like me) still use the dash because Jarre's best work was done under the name "Jean-Michel Jarre".
