My freshman year of highschool when we read the Coolidge poem, jaws dropped when the (seemingly so proper) teacher asked if anyone had Iron Maiden's Powerslave LP (yes, LP. This was pre-CD) to bring into the next class, so that we could all listen to the Iron Maiden version. (This was in the middle of the all-heavy-metal-artists-intentionally-induce-their-fans-to-commit-suicide hysteria, so it was a bit more surprising than it would be today). Our next session was the best. English. class. ever.
