Mascara is the shorter/slightly different version of Cubed, and it's amazing. I can hook you up with the version I've got, but the quality isn't the best (it's live). Firemsi, is yours better? And as for Antics, it's better than OLTA, for sure. But it's been a steady slow downwards progression imo for Interpol. OLTA has good pop tracks, but that's not the Interpol I dig. Wrecking Ball is great though.

To say another personel thought, each track of turn on the bright lights is good one by one. Antics has a few fuck-ups in it. The number of fuck-ups has sharply increased in OLTA. It's the way Interpol's chronology goes. I hope the upcoming album will twist this cursed line. :P

in an ideal world, "all fired up" would be replaced with "mind over time" and i could do without "rest my chemistry" and "who do you think" but all in all i agree with missfallover, i don't get the hate it got and still gets --it's not a terrible record by any means. and new album! i get excited just thinking about it, love this band way too much.

Antics is actually my favourite album by them, don't get me wrong. For me personally it has the best progression. But I'm just pointing out OLTA isn't as bad as people keep saying it is. Apart from the last 3 songs, it's pretty damn good.

i think OLTA is absolutely great, it's sound is a bit clearer and less guitar-driven but i think that their songwriting has become much better. if they could combine the guitar/bass sounds from TOTBL with awesome melodies from OLTA, it would be perfect *_*
