I bought this album right after the phenomenal Whale Watching Tour (Ben Frost | Nico Muhly | Sam Amidon | Valgeir Sigurðsson with Una Sveinbjarnardóttir & Borgar Magnason) concert in Berlin.

Draumalandið is the soundtrack to an icelandic documentary about the exploitation of Iceland's natural resources of the same name.
Amongst others, the score features Valgeir's collaborators and Bedroom Community labelmates Ben Frost, Sam Amidon and Nico Muhly.
This leads to a very wide instrumentarium (for example, combining electronic sounds with hauting string sections and banjo) while still managing to keep a coherent overall sound.

A good album. Very enjoyable longtracks! This album is at least faaaaaaaar better than Home! But Somehow the (almost too sweet) voice of Christina don't suite to the lyrical content of the songs especially in 'The Ballad Of Samuel Layne'. A bright, angelic voice does not fit to the horrors of World War I. Otherwise recommended to any retro / neo prog fan!

I love your music Steven Wilson, why must so much of it be exceedingly rare?

I picked up Continuum2 tonight at Rhino Records. Only 2000 pressed. However the first volume was pressed only 1000 times. Not likely I'll ever find it.

Reprints man, c'mon. I can't even find a legit copy of

Lightbulb Sun for less than sixty bucks or so. Not to mention all your other bazillion side projects. Like Bass Communion, No-Man, Incredible Expanding Mindfuck and who knows what else. I really want to listen to pretty much anything you've ever created since I've liked everything so far, but so much of it is hard to get a hold of. Sigh.
