Most mind-shattering live experience ever. I still don't think I can comprehend those 40 minutes I saw in '98. Campbell 2000 totally rearranged my paradigm of what the guitar can be/do. Great basslines too, of course. And their drummers got progressively awesomer, finishing with one of the all-time greats in my opinion, Dash 11.
Can't believe how little internet presence Hovercraft has (seriously, an ANGELFIRE PAGE??). But while the pickings are slim, the gold comes in huge nuggets, like this archive of 26 live sets(!!!): http://www.bradleycomer.com/hovercraft/livemusic.html
I never realized they played with Boredoms in 99, which was right in the Super æ/VCN sweet spot, until tonight, and my heart is kind of retroactively broken to have missed that.
Sadly overlooked. I found out about them because Pete Townshend is a lunatic and brought them to play as opener for The Who in Portland way back in 1995. Way better than the show The Who put on. All the old people in the audience were a bit scared.
