Hannah Fury começou o processo de auto-aprendizado dominando o piano com a idade de 16 após uma busca inspiração na música que ela descreveu como tendo coalesced em sua mente nomeando-lhe “The vampire Walts.” No início dos anos 1990 que ela iniciou o processo de produção e libertando a sua própria música, começando com uma fita demo de quatro músicas. Eventualmente, as canções foram desenvolvidos a partir desta banda em 1998 disponibilizou a auto-EP Soul Poison, logo seguidos por todo o comprimento do álbum 2000, The Thing That Feels, que se reuniu com os avisos geralmente favoráveis críticas.

Sete anos mais tarde, em agosto de 2007, ela disponibilizou seu segundo álbum cheio de comprimento, global e sexto CD, “Trough the Gash”. Todos os seis de seus CDs foram liberados em sua própria etiqueta independente MellowTraumatic Recordings. Embora não tenham o apoio de uma grande gravadora, ela ganhou uma dedicada gravações têm que seguir seu trabalho coere emente louvor.

Estilo Musical

Para a maioria de suas músicas, Hannah Fury tem baseou-se em canto, teclado e piano. Ela usa com freqüência overdubbing de sua própria voz para criar Harmonização e, ocasionalmente, usa outros instrumentos como guitarra baixo. It's been too long since last I visited this shoutbox, and since last I really listened to Hannah - outside just a few songs. I'm feeling so relaxed and happy now that I took the time again. Needless to say, I'm glad I finally did. <3 On the topic of the picture: Hannah is gorgeous in that picture, and although it's not my favourite of her, it's still a good one. It's real, and not just an overly photoshopped picture - like many other artists have.

Exactly Paul. That one comment always sticks, at least with me it does. I never did understand the need to slate people on their own sites. What is the point? If you don't like, fine, but don't slag somebody off because you don't like them. Just don't comment!

And @ Chris, i think sometimes we all forget that even though we may receive 100 compliments, its that one negative comment that really sticks in the throat and hurts, and im sure its the same for Hannah too.... I think if people dont like the music or Hannah's image its their personal choice, but to come to an artists board and slate them is just downright disrespectful, especially when you can see that artist has the consideration to communicate with people who come into contact with her music...

Agree with Steve, Korset and Paul. And like Paul, I was in a bad place too, but long ago, not long after The Thing That Feels came out. I was depressed, broke, on long term sick from work, and crippled by a bad back, amongst other things. TTTF helped me, as did Hannah's wonderful emails. I really discovered her at just the right time. She really REALLY helped me and I'll never know what might have happened, had I not heard her music that fateful night! I am also therefore eternally grateful Hannah and have the utmost respect for you. Christoff x

All i can say is i echo the comments made by Steve and Korset, im pretty much sure that if Through the Gash hadnt came into my life and touched me profoundly i wouldnt be here now.... I was in a bad place and TTG gave me the strength to just get up, dust off, and do it again like the song says!

It is always easy to come to the defense of one so loved and admired. I know that many of us take any kind of perceived attack very much personally. Once again this goes to show the power of your music and the deep effect it has on the ones who love it and by extension you. It is easy to like or dislike something in an off hand way but it takes something really special and magical to totally internalize and love something (your music) to the degree that it feels as if there is a bonding to the soul. That is how I have felt about your music from the very start. There is no "me" as I am in this moment of time without your music and how it has changed me. I am eternally grateful to you dear Hannah!

Thanks so much, guys! You are so kind to come to my defense. And I got a little somethin' ta say, too: All recording artists promote themselves. Some just have the extra layer of "protection" from acknowledging that fact by being involved with a label or other middle man. I guess that buffer allows them to convince themselves that their fine artistic selves aren't sullied by the uncouth nature of promotion, or that they aren't completely accountable for how they're presented. But in my opinion, it's kind of like hiring a hit-man. You're still ultimately responsible, even if you don't get your hands dirty. Exposure is never natural or accidental. Even the most "reticent" artists have at one time or another really put themselves out there (or allowed and paid someone else to). But me, I'm happy to take the blame. I am totally at fault for any wrongdoing. No one put me up to it, and I can't blame anyone...
