I finally got my hands on this album and really it's much heavier than what I expected... I mean, after the so commercail Dark Light theiy're coming back to their roots. I'm really surprised in a positive way, I've been a HIM fan for about 3 years now, but after Dark Light I expected them to continue in the more commercial, American-oriented sound, but they did the opposite, they challenged thei new fans they got after Dark Light and giving them something more dificult to digest, which might scare those new fans... nice twist from HIM part, I'm really surprised with this album, it has a Sentenced feeling to me...

Mega, mega and sooo perfect Album, for me, for ever! Sleepwalking Past Hope, Song or Suicide, Venus Doom and Cyanide Sun are very good works, from Ville and for the Band Him! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 ~ six, six, six !!!!!!

those who say it's their best obviously haven't heard RR / GLS / DS&BH. i can't deny all the catchy riffs but the lyrics plain shallow, y'know, comparing with lines from, say, Heartache Every Moment or You Are The One or Under The Rose or Bury Me Deep Inside Your Heart or In Joy and Sorrow.........

the album's not about the cover, it's about the songs in it and about the message that every song has. i personally think this is one of their best albums ever. i would have also wanted a picture of Ville on the cover, but it's about the fact that it's their decision. it's a painting that Ville Valo liked very much. sleepwalking past hope is my favourite on this album by far. <3
