Good Riddance (or GR) was a melodic hardcore band from Santa Cruz, California. Led by vocalist Russ Rankin, the band’s longtime lineup included guitarist Luke Pabich, bassist Chuck Platt, and drummer Sean “SC” Sellers. Their sound was influenced by the hardcore punk scene and the band was known for their combination of fast punk with catchy melodies. Lyrical themes vary from political protests and critical analyses of American society to personal struggles and alienation.
Pabich and Rankin were formerly members of State of Grace before the release of Decoy in 1994. All of the members currently play in side projects: Pabich and Sellers in Outlie, Platt in I Want Out, and Rankin in Only Crime.
Every member of the band supported animal rights and was either vegan or vegetarian. The band was also a vocal supporter of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and the United States Green Party. [1]
On April 3, 2007, they announced their breakup,[1] and played their final show on May 27, 2007 in their hometown of Santa Cruz, California at The Catalyst.

@Rotten_NOFXer: yes they are (or at least for shure they were!i don't know them directly so i can't talk about the present),for shure Russ is vegan and probably all the other members are/were or are/were at least vegetarian..most of their albums were benefit for many social groups/organizations/fundations,including many concerning animal rights...and,last but not least: go and give a listen at the song WASTE and take a look at the video on youtube! I know that song influenced many people to get vegan or at least vegetarian!

I don't understand how there are no Ballads From The Revolution and/or Symptoms Of A Leaveling Spirit on that top of the most listened album!! In my opinion those are not only their best albums but some of the best melodic/modern hc albums ever made! Stuff like that was a lot influent on me,way more than 10 years ago..time flies,awesome stuff never dies..

Yes, they are vegans. In my album "Ballads From The Revolution" it's written: "A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this album are being donated to P.E.T.A. and the Santa Cruz Aids Project"
