    ...singer

    Sheena Easton

This woman is one of the most soulful vocalists I’ve come across in popular music. She really sounds like she could do anything – her voice is powerful, yet fragile, and once you’ve heard her sing, her chrystalline tone will remain with you long after the song is over. She has the rare ability (for most female singers) to disappear into the song and give meaning to the words she sings.
Unlike her contemporary and nearest rival in dance/pop genre, Gloria Estefan, she has seemingly stopped recording music for now (All Music Guide says that her last album came out in 1995), but she produced several hit ballads back in the 80s, including a James Bond theme...

TocarFor Your Eyes Only (James Bond soundtrack)

    Ice Out In The Rain

    The Lover In Me

A Dream Worth Keeping (from Ferngully - The Last Rainforest soundtrack)
