Confusion over whether to tag Gillan songs as Gillan or Ian Gillan must contribute toward the low playcount, but if you look at the individual songs' playcounts most of the ones I've looked at only have 200 odd listeners. Some of which could well be legitimate scrobbles of later live recordings. Combined listener totals of 400-500 listeners are still fairly unknown songs especially compared to Deep Purple songs like the 100,000 listeners of
Fireball or for a random 'lesser known' example 22,000 of No No No. Figures like this imply that only 1 in every 44 listeners of No No No have heard tracks from Mr. Universe.

I think one of the reasons that there are so few plays is that Mediaplayer automatically sets the artist name to Ian Gillan rather than Gillan if you update the album info online through that. Great great band nonetheless.
