Ghostland Observatory is an Austin, Texas based music duo. Their music is difficult to classify, but has fittingly been described as “electro-dance soul rock.” According to the band’s Myspace.com page, they describe their sound as “A robot making love to a tree!!” Front man Aaron Behrens provides unique, energetic vocals and stage performances in addition to occasionally playing the guitar. Thomas Ross Turner, who often wears a cape on-stage, plays the drums/synths. The band released their first full-length album, delete.delete.i.eat.meat, in 2005 on Turner’s Trashy Moped Recordings. Within a year the band also released their second CD, Paparazzi Lightning, on the same label in January of 2006.
On October 16, 2007, they made their first appearance on national television on NBC’s Late Night With Conan O’Brien, performing the song Sad Sad City.
On November 13, 2007, they released their first live DVD, Live From Austin, TX,
In a recent video shot at the Vegoose Music Festival, they announced their forthcoming album will be called Robotique Majestique and should be out February 2008.

OOHHHH My Mind has been blown away by "Ghostland Observatory" Aug 20, 2009 Birch North Park Theater...Everything from the DJ who openned the evening to the freebeezz handed out,photographers walking about taking pictures of most every body there! Outside in line and inside. The venue was really laid back,just the way us San Diegoian locals like it. The sound was very good for such a small size capacity venue. The Lazer lighting was out of this world,and we all recieved sun shades to protect our eyes..I was First Row Stage Left and First 4 seats so I really didn't need the shades as the lazers went over my head. I will see them as many times as I can..they put on one hell of a Great Show!! Hey just below me..lol.. Shout out to you "cpkguy1892" we be following each other around!! Kewl Thanks for the add-on to my Youtube group "HookedonGLOPhonic's" Keep those awsome video's comin!! Peace Cindy.
