Jan 5 2006, 3h44 por ihateguitaristsI went to the store today with my girlfriend to try and find some George Harrison CDs at Wal-Mart but, no success. Wal-Mart's CDs are so unorganized and limited. It seems that all I could find was Ashlee Simpson and other stupid nonsense. There CDs weren't in any order at all. I looked in the section labled "John Lennon" and there was no Lennon. I hate Wal-Mart's music. I remember when I was real into Nirvana I read that at Wal-Mart they only carry In Utero, with the title for Rape Me changed to "Waif Me". Becuase the original title is too explicit. It makes me want to open my own music store in Calallen, seeing as though Wal-Mart is the closest we have to one.

Dez 11 2005, 18h16 por soundplayI hate beatle stereotypes. Paul McCartney the overbearing meglomaniac, John Lennon the misunderstood genius, George Harrison the wise quiet one, never a bad thing to say about anyone, and Ringo Starr the untalented ugly one.
They were all jerks, they were all misunderstood geniuses, they were all wise, they were all beautiful and talented.
Most of all, because it happens the most, I hate the Paul Bashing. It's idiotic, John loved the man! Sure they fought, it was both their fault. And no one ever mentions George in these feuds but he said some pretty bad things as well...
Ugh.... This post is pointless except to let out my frustrations. It's so idiotic. People need to stop making these stupid assumptions and just love the music.
Nov 29 2005, 10h02 por soundplayRIP George Harrison.

Ago 24 2005, 20h36 por MalkinIt's funny, because when all is said and done, I probably listen to more George Harrison than anyone else. The Beatles are always near the top of my charts, plus I love the Traveling Wilburys, and I've got a bunch of his solo stuff. I wouldn't generally consider myself a huge George Harrison fan by any means, but I guess in some ways I must be.
Ago 12 2005, 20h57 por boirozzlynWow, so here I am listening to I'm One and, christ, this is probably one of the single most passionate songs ever written by anybody. Ever.
This is one of those many bipolar songs that Pete Townshend wrote throughout his career -- it starts out slowly and then seems to kick-start into almost a rage of raw, heartfelt emotion. Near the end, it gets slow again for a few seconds and then back to a manic mood with Roger Daltry screaming "But I'm one! I'M ONE!"
Nobody writes like that anymore. Or performs like that. So much of the closest thing to that these days are half-assed attempts to mimic the homoerotic perfection of the Townshend/Daltry magic that made The Who possibly THE greatest rock band of all time.
Screw The Beatles. I smegging hate The Beatles! The best thing The Beatles ever did was break up -- I'm not shitting. After they broke up, they proved themselves individually: John Lennon was a cynical bastard, George Harrison was a hippie…
