Gang Gang Dance é um grupo musical Experimental formado em Manhattan, Nova York, e contratado pela produtora independente chamada The Social Registry. O grupo se tornou conhecido na cena Indie nova-iorquina por causa de seu som diferente de qualquer outro.
Eles fizeram shows com algumas bandas famosas como Architecture in Helsinki, Sonic Youth, Spank Rock, Massive Attack, Animal Collective, Black Dice, e TV on the Radio, e Battles.
Em agosto de 2008 Gang Gang Dance participou do festival 88 Boadrum no Brooklyn. Seu quarto álbum Saint Dymphna foi lançado em 20 de outubro de 2008, pela The Social Registry na América do Norte e pela Warp Records na Europa e Austrália. O álbum recebeu boas críticas, pela revista Fact Magazine no Reino Unido nomeando-os um dos “melhores álbuns que ouvimos no ano”.
A banda tem passado por maus bocados ultimamente. O baterista recebeu um tiro e o equipamento da banda foi totalmente destruído depois de um incêndio elétrico em Amsterdã.
