Will We Survive
I fell asleep in the car while listening to this song, and I started talking to it in a dream. Literally talking to the song.
We were talking about Jerry Lee Lewis's live album at the Star Club. Will We Survive was like "Jesus Christ, what kind of world is it when that album isn't the best-selling live album of all time?" And I said to the song, completely seriously: "Well, you're not helping. Just sitting there crashing your cymbals." The sheer absurdity of the situation woke me up right after that.

farewell kingdom - World's End Girlfriend
The whole thing is pretty much worth if for Fifteen White, but the whole album is great. Contrast with my last WEG album (Dream's End Come True) - Singing Under The Rainbow was an amazing orgasm but the rest went between boring and grating.

Assassi-nation - 2 Bullet
The production and mastering are leagues better than on Democratic Violence. Also the guitars are less prominent and the sound seems more focused on aggression, which are both good things. The English lyrics can be pretty hilarious, though:

We Are Him - The Angels of Light
Much better than How I Loved You in my opinion. Even though some songs have what could easily be called a country groove, it feels distinctly Gira. It wouldn't quite fit as a Swans album, but it's surprisingly close at times. It's also signed by Gira (the package even had "Thanks Kieran!" written on the back in Sharpie) which makes it worth having no matter what.

I've already figured out how to make some seriously brutal stuff using it, a saw, and a couple of pedals. Not to mention that carrying a saw around on stage would look pretty badass (it's a cool-looking saw, trust me.) I hope to figure out how to do a bunch of cool stuff with it, especially since pretty much every noise type seems to use them. Aren't they staples of Fuck, The Retarded Girl's setup? How exciting.

After six long months of waiting, they are finally here, the glorious poly-carbonate discs hand cut with grooves to truly make your head shake. This co-release from Frail Walls Productions and Dirgehead Distribution Company offers up some truly hard to listen to sonic art in 100% DIY fashion. So DIY in fact, that Rick Ta Life himself has weeped at the mere thought of this 7". Every aspect of this record was handmade, from the silkscreened cover, to the hand cutting of each record by the mythical Peter King, and of course the music carved into the grooves.
Musically the artist truly are wearing their Sunday best, or something. Reaching. brings 5 minutes of low end oscillator violence with cascading walls of skree. Satisfying and harsh. A Dilemma if you will. J. Briglia, L. Butler, D. Schoonmaker, J. Williams (aka BBSW, or Fucked By The State, or FBTS, or soon to be called Seedbed or something) return fresh off of their split with Agathocles and deliver a harsh 3 and a half minutes. Beginning with solid minute and a half harsh noise wall that slowly delves into a basement black metal meets hardcore punk jam. Four vocalists collide with tin can drums and cold guitar tones while everything is drenched in a tape saturated veneer, incredibly hard to listen to.
Probably the most interesting aspect of these releases (Wolverine Carcass/ultrabunny split 7" lathe coming out once the covers are made! keep a look out!) is that each one is absolutely unique. After browsing through all the records not a single one looks the same, or for that matter sounds the same. Obviously that can be attributed to the hand cutting of each one. So each record is a truly unique piece.

Okay, just received these so if anyone wants to trade hit me up, I have a good bunch!

new horsing - Drum Drum Overlord (NO HOTEL RECORD 3")

Drum Drum Overlord is something of a tribute to Hanatarash (despite the label’s claim of “NO TRIBUTE”) – as much may be obvious from the name, a clear nod to Dub Dub Overlord – and was conceived as something of a messy junk album much alike the bulk of material on 2 and 3. The approach was similar (sweaty and messy), but the sounds ultimately are not much like Hanatarash. The only source here is (overdriven, abused) drums but the sound is best described as shrill harsh over a barely audible steady drum beat (which is Anal Beethoven-ish). Fun in a bun! The artwork is a variation of Gero’s All You Need Is Audio Shock where instead two men with giant drums for heads are fondling each other. Three-‘page’ Xeroxed fold-out in a plastic sleeve. Looks neat though.

I also have some copies of the previous NO HOTEL releases, namely a CDR by Super Mario Bros of which I can’t read the title and a 3” (with just 5 mins of music though?) from The Princess Amen called GO GO SECOND TIME VIRGIN!. The first one is a manic and schizophrenic collection of noise, found sounds, ambient, songs and whatever (really stupid), the second is a nice and fuzzy ambient track. Both are quite enjoyable I guess.

Wolverine Carcass - Why Am I Doing This: A Collection Of Unreleased And Out Of Print Tracks 2007 - 2009

First off is Frail Walls Productions #4, its a release by Wolverine Carcass aka yours truly, the humble narrator of this internet information readie thing. In a desperation move after realizing that He was out of hardcopy CDs to sell as merch at his first live action, Wolverine Carcass whipped up a crystalline compact audio disc chock full of goodies. This CDr is a hodge-podge of various tracks that have been released and aren't available or that were recorded and never used for anything OR(!) early versions of stuff that was released OR(!!) stuff that was used as parts of other stuff. It's all very confusing. Some call it a best of CD, others, a B-sides, many will just call it 12 tracks of power electronics + harsh noise that surely will satisfy the craving you have been having for said genres. At least satisfy it for about 50 minutes, then you will probably start the disc over. It's that good!

I just got my copies of the Orgasm Denial/Wolverine Carcass split tape! My buddy over at Crushing Cassettes put his out for us, and dammit is it awesome! Five total tracks spanning over 30 minutes 3 from OD, and 2 from WC. OD brings his signature slash and burn noise style for the first two tracks and a bit of porn love for the third. WC explores a more spacious sound but at the same time is suffocating with his use of panning. Like the track on the recent Cantankerous bizcard, just harsher.
