Anyway, the new album, All Hope Is Gone isn't bad. Its got some heavy bits. No bullshit. Good lyrics (for the better part of it). There are blast beats and guitar solos (but the solos are quite short). There are some great songs. They really are a lot more metal than Disturbed, P.O.D., Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park and co ever were or will be. In fact Why are they even being compared with each other?

I know its hard, but past the gimmicks, the music has always been Slipknot's biggest asset and their downfall. To heavy for the nu-metalerz and to abnormal for the metal-heads. And the black metal fans generally don't like it without a grim tree or a Norwegian flag every now and then.

There is certainly a lot of prejudice surrounding them, earned or not.

Man, I had a really long review written, and was literally finishing the last of the bonus tracks from the special edition, opened the calculator to get an average rating out of 10 for the album when Firefox stopped working. And closed. And when it restarted the last session (it does that pretty cool must off the time) IT WAS ALL FUCKING GONE I HAVE BEEN HERE FOR TWO FUCKING HOURS WRITING FUCK!!!!!!!!!! FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
