It is time for a drug crazed/beer sotted late 1960's orgy again when I hear this.
Such a dramatic melody, fierce searing fuzz guitar sound and winsome utopian lyrics awash in late 60's hopefullness. About a year too late for the 1967 Summer Of Love but nevertheless underated (Pos #91) and should have been a bigger hit.
Song makes ya pine for the old days.
This is Groovy
'Beaker Street with Clyde Clifford' was the show, broadcast on KAAY, a 50000 watt clear channel AM station, coming out of Little Rock, AR. Oh, and it was called 'underground' radio back then.
finally hit iTunes. been looking for it for at least 4 years. I remember listening to this on one of those midnight 'pirate' radio shows. and dreaming about SF from my minnesota bedroom back in 69.
225 listeners total? There is no justice.
This is in my opinion one of the best obscure tracks of the 1960's. Once again the record industry messed up.
