This album is SO GOOD. Incredible dynamics. The album tells a damn story. Elton is an incredible musician. Indian Sunset is an incredible song. There are even two songs that I'm pretty sure are about cocaine on here so what more could you ask for.

Sinfully underrated in comparison to his other classics from this era. [2]

One of the top 5 of the 70's without a doubt. Damn, I miss those days.

I don't know why, but I just can't bring myself to like Elton John's voice. Something about his voice, I just don't like. Same goes for Bob Dylan. These two guys can't sing for shit. I do, however, enjoy the music; just not the vocals.

Kind of ironic that all his best stuff came out while he was on drink and drugs>

...SLOW DOWN JOE, I'M A ROCK'N'ROLL MAN... (Holiday Inn / Madman Across The Water). What a song! What lyrics! Music at a whole was more important than MTV. That was before Elton John became lost in his pop 80's world.

Also my favorite. At some points it sounds like he was influenced by Serge Gainsbourg. This album is a delight.

This is totally my favorite EJ album - not a single poor track from beginning to end - all of them excellent!
