By far his best: his most emotionally raw and desperately to the point; it sounds like the soundtrack to a finally accepted and acknowledged breakdown on several fronts - drugs (fond farewell, king's crossing, strung out again), an insatiable and yet destructive desire for novelty in relationships (let's get lost), and the damage of extreme isolation (drowning in lamentations in "memory lane"). I dare you assholes to find more dire topics addressed in any of his other albums, expressed more poetically, adding beauty to his own downfall.

This is like Elliott's equivalent to the Beatles Sgt. Peppers or Revolver. Personally, I just really love Twilight. There are some pretty amazing tunes on this album but overall not his best.

Im not too fond of this album.... theres some good songs like "Coast To Coast" and "Memory Lane" but as a whole i didn't like it :(

it's the only album i own by him as i bought it just from hearing his name bounced about and i must say its pretty spectacular :D great album, will definitely be checking out some other Elliott Smith :)
