Nah, the solo sucks. Petrucci's not all that fast. Then again, maybe I'm just accustomed to the super awesome, lightning-fast shredding of The Edge. Listen to Bullet For My Valentine's "Ride the Lightning" for real metal.

So wonderful... Why can't DT write more stuff like this anymore? Now they're trying to be all "metal" and trying to sound so credible doing it, yet failing miserably. This song is pure prog ear candy. The solo sucks? That must be sarcasm, this song has one of the best guitar solos ever.

Agree with Metropolis Pt.1 being the best:) Personally I like a couple of songs from this album better than Under a Glass Moon, but that doesn't mean this wouldn't be a great song

Awesome drumming in the intro! Portnoy really knows how to make his patterns stand out. Getting a kind of chaos/weirdness feeling from the dissonant riffs:S

This cd was my 1st taste of DT many years ago. Listened to it so much that when I lost it I didn't bother replacing it. Hearing tracks like this on last.fm has given me a great sense of nostalgia. Will have to go out and buy it again. Soon.
