It seems no one can agree which is best :) Glass Prison is my favourite but they are all fantastic... except Repentance which I think is a bit rubbish and really drags down Systematic Chaos (which otherwise I love).

It's not just the white noise from Glass Prison that you hear, it's also the same stuff that you hear at the beginning of The Root of All Evil. I think it's there just to signal the end of the series; to bring everything to a conclusion.
