One of Dream Theater's best songs. Sooooo epic! If you think DT is all about wanking, this song (and many others actually) will prove you wrong. The lyrics are pretty weak, but I don't think anyone listens to DT for their lyrics.

I've always disliked LaBrie's singing. He's alright, but he always seemed to me the weak link in this band. But after listening to this album a few times through, I really wish the rest of the band would shut the fuck up and let LaBrie do the singing. If Labrie can't do death grunts, then either get a guest vocalist, or just don't do them. Portnoy sucks ass behind the mic.

Well yeah it's really emotional. Like it says above, Petrucci wrote it about a Count that told him stories in '04 which made him fear for his life, because he thought those things would happen to him. Really explains why he was so emotional when playing it live last Saturday night.
