Mês passadoI think this album is one of their least good records. It's a great album, by all means, but for me, it doesn't reach up to the newer stuff.. Oh well, in fact, I think (with the exception of Scenes From a Memory, which I like the most) they got better and better after Awake, and stopped right after Octavarium. I believe my opinions on this matter is... Quite unique, by the standards of DT-fans. As far as I could tell, the masses seems to like this one best. I disagree :)

The best because it's everything a modern prog metal band should be.

fevereiro de 2009This is such a fantastic album. Melodically and lyrically. The atmosphere and epicness is awesome. Could listen to the intro to Pull Me Under over and over. Why do people have a problem with LaBrie? I think he really suits it.

Easily one of my favourite albums, and one of the few where every single strong is mind-blowingly good. It's got all the different aspects of DT, and really showcases the raw talent of everyone involved (yes, even LaBrie). Incredible.

janeiro de 2009I really like the drums. They create a very energetic, youthful vibe in my opinion.

janeiro de 2009best dream theater album. it reminds me of 80s pop which is a good thing. I don't see why people hate the drums on this album. To me i like how they sound synthesized and the snare is beautiful.

janeiro de 2009I don't mind the drums at all, and to be fair it was recorded at that sorta time when not everything had crystalline production - but Portnoy is an incredible drummer and i think it shows on here. But definatly one of the greatest progressive metal albums ever made, so it is now and so it always be, a timeless masterpiece.

lukasz_92 escreveu:
janeiro de 2009I also think that these drums spoil the album. They sound like they were drum pads or syntheses.
