MBD is an unusual artist, I think. The emotions aren't subtle, but they're not incisive like a lot of artist's work. It's a wholly beautiful thing to experience, really - and to answer the question, I think We Were Sparkling is a rather sad song, but it's delivered in such a way as to be more uplifting than depressing... Interestingly enough, it was the first song I heard of hers - actually recommnded by Last.fm with the free download! Thank God I paid attention!

That would be Mind's Eye. They had a lot of (unnecessary) hype surrounding them when they came on to the scene, but I still likes 'em. :) (Pity they disbanded after the one album - would have been good to see how they developed).

For all intents and purposes, #18 is Angus & Julia Stone, and although I have the two EP's Heart Full of Wine and Chocolates & Cigarettes, they've thus far released just the one full-length album - A Book Like This. So...that'd be my favourite. ;)

Seriously not fair - TTP are, in my humble opinion, one of the greatest bands. Ever. It's impossible for me to choose a favourite album, I can only highly recommend the first three albums - Splendor Solis, The Edges of Twilight and Transmission to any and all interested in getting an idea of the awesome scope of this much underrated (and, unfortunately, defunct) band.

1. How did you get into 29?
The same way I get into a lot of music I listen to actually. It was by either reading Magnet or Under The Radar, reading a review of Writer's Block, thinking it sounded good, downloading it, and falling in love with it.

2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22?

Four- 1 full album and 3 EP's.

4. What is your favorite song by 15?
Hard question! Probably Calm Americans though. That song gives me the chills every time I hear it.

5. What is your favorite song by 5?
Stockholm Syndrome. I listened to this song over and over and over after Joe and I broke up. For some reason it made me feel so much better.

6. Is there a song by 6 that makes you happy?
A.M. 180 because it always reminds me of the grocery store scene in 28 Days Later!

7. What is your favorite song by 10?
Scattered Pearls even though it's not technically sung by Owen. Though his version on Daytrotter was adorable!

8. What is a good memory you have involving 30?

I could say that putting You File on the very first mix I ever made was my best Denali memory, but honestly, when I hear them sometimes I can't help but remembering playing The Instinct for Ross and him hating it. But now he likes them!

Set Yourself on Fire, but the Montag remix of it.

10. How many times have you seen 25 live?
None, sadly. Came close to seeing him last winter though!

Heartbeats because I was curious about them after hearing José González's version of it. I have ended up liking The Knife's version a lot more.

The Warning, definitely. Though Made In The Dark has my favorite track on it.

I would like to since they're playing in Ithaca next Sunday!

Being called "Oregon Girl" by Will. Couldn't have asked a better question about this band.

Lightness. I wasn't crazy about this album at first, but I slowly became obsessed with it. Now it's one of my absolute favorites.

Apple for Evan, closely followed by Southern Comfort, because it's beyond awesome when Carl shreds the banjolin!

I can't definitively say, because I first heard it on a satellite radio station somewhere in New Jersey, and I don't remember the track. However, when I got home and got their album, the first track I listened to was This Heart is a Stone.

Definitely Let's Get out of This Country, though Biggest Bluest Hi-Fi comes in at a really close second.

Very difficult question. I'd have to say Skin Is, My. One of the sexiest songs I've ever heard.

I Am John even though this was one of my least favorite songs of his for a long time.

None, but I would absolutely love to. Even though I can't understand much of what they say because I'm not fluent in French.

Most of the latest album does not appeal to me. But my least favorite song is probably Back to the Life.

Our Hell. Still gets to me.

Night At The Knight School. This song is responsible for this band being so high on my stats.
