R&B singer Bonnie Bramlett
was born in Alton, IL in 1944. Her given name was Bonnie Lynn O'Farrell. She met Delaney Bramlett on the music show "Shindig" and they married and formed the band Delaney & Bonnie
, which sometimes included "Friends" such as Eric Clapton. When Delaney & Bonnie divorced in the early '70s, Bonnie went into acting and solo work. The only white Ikette (Ike & Tina Turner's back-up singers) in history, Bonnie Bramlett is one of the most overlooked female soul singers of our time, and her voice has lost none of its power over the years.
