    Force_of_Will, you are misguided, Earthling is very indicative of 90s music and contrasting it with the spice girls doesn't work because it's meant to sound like their music and music similar to theirs, lmao

    Soramimi is sorta misheard English phrases that sounds uncannily like certain Japanese words. The other classic soramimi in Bowie song is heard at the beginning of "Modern Love", in which he sings "I went to stay in and get things done" but some Japanese can hear them as "Ah watashi taihen, okyakusan kita" (which roughly means "It seems I'm in trouble, a customer is coming!)

    What an unsung treasure. This whole album is full of futuristic songs most people weren't ready for. Bear in mind, this came out at the same time Spice Girls were selling out arenas.

    comeback=kanban (billboard), boy's own=baasan (old lady), slim tie=sendai (detergent), showdown=shoudan (business meeting), can't stop=kensa (inspection). That's soramimi
