well, unsurprisingly my number 1 album is one I bought over half-term and so it's lovely and shiny and new and I listened to it alot >w< plus it's an AWEsome album and with 14 quite short tracks it just managed to pip Lyrical Sympathy to the post ^__^;; all the same, well done Diru! Withering. is the third Diru album I got and, although not quite as masterpiece-ful as UROBOROS, it is extremely good to the ears and combines the wide variety of styles and feelings with the overall creepily seductive sound that just *makes* Diru Diru ^w^

2. Versailles - Lyrical Sympathy (207) 
VERSAIIIIIILES!!!!! \m/>_<\m/ frickin' love this band to PIECES I tell you ^w^ Lyrical Sympathy is an AMAzing EP: seven songs that are basically seven reasons why Versailles are the best band in the world >x< a brilliant display of musical competence, wonderful song-writing and a perfectly balanced album. Would have been top if it wasn't for the fact that seven long songs were always going to struggle against fourteen short ones XD oh! and if you try it: listen out for the most amazing guitar solos you will EVER hear ^w^

Sonata.. what can I say? ^w^ we went to go see them earlier this month and earlier in the autumn they gave us this: pretty much a perfect album ^w^ Personally I still prefer Unia, but Days of Grays has a technically more rounded 'album sound' which makes it ridiculously addictive to listen to and just a pleasure to the ears :3 Thanks to my awesome sister teriyaki for getting it so we could listen to it!! >w<\m/

Just a masterpiece - the first Diru album I got and just mindblowing from start to finish. I have no idea where they're going to go now, but if the new single is anything to go by they're still going up << I didn't really think this was even possible ^__^;;

The earliest Diru album I own and just so much fun >w< seriously, I still adore this album even though I'm pretty sure it's the weakest out of the three I have - it just has a certain charm to it :)

ahh, here it is - Sonata in perfection in my opinion ^__^ I just adore this album, so full of complex lines and each song has a real flow to it << really feels like the album drags you through this nightmarish dream world ^w^ just an awesome album.

the most recent addition to my Haikara collection, swamp man is the debut album for new member HALCA. I really loved her voice on this, and was hugely impressed by the composition from mACKAz, Kazuto, MEG and especially SASSY - it's rather rare for a drummer to be so good at vocal and melodic composition so kudos to you Sass! the album kind of reminds me of Gou on Progressive though - it all has a similar feel and sounds like a 'finding-our-sound' album.. hopefully next time round there'll be a resurgance of the energy that really *makes* Haikara but whatever happens, I'm looking forward to a new release from these guys ^w^

this came through my postbox back in march when it was released and it still isn't dropping out of my top albums >w< I love it so much - it's definitely Nana's most sophisticated and acomplished album to date: the composition is wonderful and the way she uses her voice incredible. Overall, a very mature performance and clearly what *she* wanted to do - bodes extremely well for her new project Loveless, which is still keeping me on the edge of my seat >w< we need news dammit!

the new single from Diru and SERIOUSLY D: I didn't think they could do anything new of UROBOROS standard and then they just do D: I wa shock! but seriously, this song is amazing and the remake of Zan and Shokubeni are well-worth getting your paws on (although I haven't actually got the original version of Zan so feel free to tell me I am wrong and the remake is utter shite ^__^) seriously, Shokubeni (SHOT IN ONE TAKE) makes me even more impressed with Kyo's vocal ability than before - and that's *saying* something D:::::::: 24.
