ich krieg es nicht hin. das leben gehörte entschleunigt, die tempospitzen deutlich heruntergefahren. die fahrzeiten überhaupt minimiert. das formel 1 auto stehen gelassen. das fahrrad vom nachbarn zurückgeborgt. aber wem gelingt das schon? und warum gerade einem jämmerlichen, blassen blogger?

hundsgemein ist diese aufgedrehte, verzuselte schnelligkeit. man astet ihr verschwitzt hinterher im wissen, dass man ihrer nicht herr werden kann. so ähnlich klingt auch die musik von cryptacize. hier die angespitzte gitarre mit schlenkern und schön-tun, ein moment des innehaltens, dem aber schon der folgende tempolauf innewohnt. wenn dazu dort nedelle mit ihrer arabesken stimme züngelt ists eh um mich geschehen.
die band ist zuletzt fleißig getourt, staaten, england, skandinavien. dass sie dabei resteuropa außen vor gelassen haben, bleibt zu vermerken. wer weiß, wann und wofür man dieses wissen noch einsetzen kann. eröffnet haben sie u.a. für danielson, shearwater, ponytail, magik markers oder marnie stern. bis zur erreichung dieses openerstatus brauchte es natürlich ein bißchen vorarbeit. die ist hier von uns beschrieben, da cryptacize ihr erstes album auf asthmatic kitty vorlegten. auf "dig that treasure" aus anfang 2008 folgt nun im april das neue album "mythomania". die musik sei nun "thicker and more continuous; in addition to autoharp, guitars and drums there are now electric basses, keyboards, piano, even found or purely electronic sounds.", schreibt das label. nedelle torrisi klänge wie eine mischung aus freddie mercury und ronnie spector, ergänzt durch eine stakkati blasende les paul und schwere drumparts. sehr erfrischend und neuen schub verleihend. wofür eigentlich? damit es noch schneller voran geht?
