Cradle Of Filth é uma banda inglesa de Suffolk, Londres, formada em 1991. O seu estilo musical tem levantado muita discussão, pelo que se referenciará Extreme Gothic Metal e Symphonic Black Metal. Os seus temas líricos destacam-se por literatura gótica, poesia, erotismo,vampirismo mitologia e filmes de horror. Aposta numa caracterização maquiavélica de criaturas guerreiras e demoníacas e numa teatralização de movimentos. É tida como uma das bandas mais espetaculares do gênero musical, e a que mais tem destacado novo público a esse domínio.

Antes de terem lançado o primeiro álbum ‘The Principle of Evil Made Flesh’ tocavam Death Metal.
