At least there should be one lament in 2011. Miss you, CoE.

Incredibly talented band! I'm really sad they broke up.

I downloaded their stuff awhile ago from the site linked below, but I didn't give it good enough of a listen. I recently found "Telepathic Last Words" at a hippie shop! Awesome find! I'm definitely gonna check those downloads out again!

With Ahnion, agreed. Some Bauhaus influence as well, at least on Vaughn's part.

Oh, and as for suggestions for other bands, some Killing Joke albums (such as the underrated "Extremities, Dirt & Various Repressed Emotions" have some similarities in sound.)

    Ridiculously under-appreciated band.

This is truly one (if not THE) greatest Dallas band of any genre. They could whip a mosh pit into a swirl then have the entire crowd standing still listening to every word from one song to another. Many a trip to Denton and Trees were made to see them and I was also lucky enough to get to know a couple of the guys fairly well. If they ever decide to reunite, I will be there as will many of my friends.

"Since 1998, Course of Empire's albums have gone out of print and the band members are no longer receiving compensation for these releases. Mike Graff and the webmaster of this site have decided to offer free downloads of all of the band's major releases below. These zip files contain mp3s encoded at 256kbps."

i love this band///// does anyone can suggest me similar bands like them??? meaning industrial rock with tribal edge on it??

I can only chime in. It's insane that CoE didn't get wider attention. They're one of the best rock acts I have -ever- heard. Possibly, they went somewhat over the heads of many listeners, since their influences were so wide and their style so varied (yet coherent.)

Poor CoE...a band that should've got a wider audience. They're one of the real cases of labels (Zoo and TVT) dropping the ball on promotion. Anyone that I've played Infested! for has loved it.
